Our Story
GetLyStar was founded in 2025 with a clear and simple mission: to create the world's most trusted source of information about hotels and resorts that feature a physical on-site casino. We noticed that existing travel publications either ignored casinos entirely or focused too heavily on the gambling aspect. Neither approach serves the traveller who wants a complete picture of a resort before booking.
Our editorial team has backgrounds in luxury travel writing, hospitality management, architecture and responsible gambling advocacy. We combine this diverse expertise to create comprehensive reviews that cover every aspect of a property, from mattress quality and room service response times to the dress code at the casino entrance.
We operate from our office in Bellville, United Kingdom, and research properties across the globe. We rely on official property documentation, local tourism boards, verified guest reviews and, where possible, our own site visits. Every review clearly states its sources and the date the information was last checked. We never invent prices, hotel classifications, licences, awards or guest review scores.
